Convenience Services

Courtesy Pay

Protect your checking account. Sometimes things don’t go as we plan, and that can mean not having enough funds in our checking account to cover a retail transaction. To help members avoid this occasional problem, Neighborhood Credit Union offers Courtesy Pay, a customized service where we consider paying a debit card transaction, ATM withdrawal, or ACH even if you don't have enough money in your account at that moment.

ClickSWITCH

We’ve made switching your direct deposits and automatic payments easy with our new fast and secure ClickSWITCH account switching service. Members can always start Switches here, or under the Additional Services menu tab in online banking.

Building with columns iconFree Shared Branching

Over 6,100 nationwide locations you can deposit and make withdrawals in the lobby or drive thru for no fee. Whether you are traveling or relocating to a new community, you can still have easy access to your Neighborhood Credit Union accounts.

Please note: ATM transactions at shared branching locations may still be assessed a surcharge or fee. Check with individual shared branching locations for details. Transactions at non-Neighborhood Credit Union ATM’s will still have to pay the non-Neighborhood Credit Union ATM fee.

24-Hour Video ATMs

Conveniently and securely:

  • deposit cash and checks
  • make a loan payment
  • access your account without a debit card
  • video with a branch representative during business hours
  • and more!
Video ATMs are currently available at our Anna, TX and Arlington, TX locations.

Surcharge-Free ATMs with MoneyPass

Our members have access to over 32,000 surcharge-free ATMs as a part of the MoneyPass ATM Network. A surcharge is when the owner of the ATM charges the ATM user a fee and some can get as high as $5.

Neighborhood Credit Union’s partnership with MoneyPass opens up tens of thousands of ATMs to members free of this surcharge.

Who We Are

Formerly known as Dallas Postal Credit Union, Neighborhood Credit Union opened its doors to its first members in April 1930, just months after the U.S. stock market crashed. During the Great Depression, when Americans’ trust in financial institutions were at their lowest, Dallas Postal Credit Union won that trust and loyalty of its charter members. In 2001, the credit union officially changed its name to Neighborhood Credit Union, a name that more accurately reflects the diverse base of members from all over the Dallas area.

Neighborhood Credit Union now serves over 56,000 members and their assets that now top $970 million. Neighborhood CU’s ongoing effort to offer members convenient services in their communities and mobile access wherever they go has made them a top-rated credit union in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
