Neighborhood Credit Union Welcomes Doug Bedner as SVP of Lending and Collections

DALLAS, Texas — Neighborhood Credit Union announced the appointment of Doug Bedner as Senior Vice President of Lending and Collections, bringing more than two decades of credit union leadership and lending experience to the organization.

In his new role, Bedner will oversee Neighborhood Credit Union’s lending and collections operations, helping guide strategies that support member needs and the credit union’s continued growth. He will report to Chet Kimmell, President and CEO of Neighborhood Credit Union.

Bedner joins the organization from Worth Credit Union, where he served as Vice President of Lending for the past three years. Prior to that, he spent more than 20 years with Resource One Credit Union, building a career that began as a teller and progressed through roles including trainer, branch manager, director of operations, chief operations officer, and chief lending officer.

“Doug brings extensive experience, a strong commitment to member service, and a passion for developing high-performing teams,” said Kimmell. “I’m excited about the knowledge and leadership he will bring to Neighborhood Credit Union as we continue serving our members and growing our organization.”

“I’m genuinely excited to join Neighborhood Credit Union,” said Bedner. “I’ve admired Neighborhood Credit Union for a long time, both professionally and as a member, so this opportunity is especially meaningful to me. I’m looking forward to listening, learning, and helping continue to evolve the lending and collections experience for our members. It’s not often you get the chance to help lead an organization you already believe in, so I’m pretty fortunate to be here.”

Bedner’s appointment supports Neighborhood Credit Union’s continued focus on strengthening its lending capabilities and providing financial solutions that help members achieve their goals.
