Neighborhood Credit Union Presented Five High School Seniors with Scholarship Money at the 20th Annual Emerging Artist Program

[Richardson, Texas]- Neighborhood Credit Union proudly presented five high school seniors with scholarship money at the 20th Annual Emerging Artist Program on April 11, 2023. The People’s Choice Award and Best in Show were presented to Helen Levy from JJ Pearce High School. Second Place was given to Adam Teffera from Berkner High School, and Third Place was given to Emily Stansfield from JJ Pearce High School. Two Honorable Mentions were also selected, Esmerelda Hernandez from Richardson High School and Miranda Torres from JJ Pearce High School.

This program recognizes the talent of young local artists and offers them the opportunity to be a part of an international award-winning fine art festival each May. This innovative and resourceful program mentors students in the art world, encouraging them to express themselves artistically and learn the exhibit process.

For the past 11 years, Neighborhood Credit Union has been the proud sponsor of the Emerging Artist Program, which has grown in size and popularity since its inception. The program has helped launch the careers of many talented artists, providing them with a platform to showcase their work and connect with potential buyers and art enthusiasts.

As an incentive of this program, the five artists received scholarship money to assist them in pursuing their artistic passions without financial barriers. These artists were selected based on their exceptional artistic talent, creativity, and dedication to their craft.

"We are honored to be a part of this program and support young artists in our community," said Neighborhood Credit Union Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Rachel Pigman. "We believe in fostering creativity and providing opportunities for artists to succeed. It's important to invest in the next generation of artists who will contribute to our community's cultural growth."

The Emerging Artist Program will culminate with an exhibition at the international award-winning fine art festival in May, where the selected artists will showcase their work alongside other renowned artists from around the world.
