Fee Change at Neighborhood Credit Union
Due to changes in Federal Regulation CC, the amount of funds that must be made available to you will be changing as of July 1, 2020. Depending on the type of check you deposit, your funds may not be available until the second business day after a deposit. Effective July 1, 2020, the first $225 of your deposit will be available on the first business day. This is a change from the $200 that must currently be made available on the first business day.
In addition, the following changes apply to those funds you deposit by check, which may be delayed for a longer period:
- Funds may be delayed when you deposit checks totaling more than $5,525 on any one day. This is a change from the current $5,000.
- Funds may be delayed when you are a new member and the account is still within the first 30 days of account opening. For a deposit to your new account, funds from electronic direct deposits will be available on the day we receive the deposit. Funds from deposits of cash, wire transfers, and the first $5,525 of a day’s total deposits of cashier’s, certified, and federal, state and local government checks will be available on the first business day after the day of your deposit if the deposit meets certain conditions. The excess over $5,525 will be available on the ninth business day after the day of your deposit. All other types of checks deposited, other than those listed above, will be made available on the ninth business day following the day of your transaction.
The following fee changes are effective August 1, 2020:
- Nationwide ATM withdrawal fees incurred during a Monthly Qualification Cycle within your Kasasa Cash, Kasasa Cash Back, and Kasasa Tunes will be reimbursed up to an aggregate total of $20, when you qualify for your account’s rewards. All other criteria set forth in your Truth in Savings disclosure agreement for this account continue to apply.
- An International Debit Card fee of 2% per transaction will be applied to all debit cardholders when making purchases outside of the United States.
