Cyber Security Reminders
October is Cybersecurity Month and a great time to remind our members of the following important security items.
Neighborhood Credit Union, nor our service providers (like Zelle, TruHome, DentGuard, etc.), will ever call, text or email you and ask for a user id, password or ask you to download any program or app that would allow us to connect to your device(s). This would include programs like QuickSupport and AnyDesk.
If you are contacted by phone or text, and you are being asked for any type of login information, security words, your mobile phone number or data that could be used to access your account, we recommend to NOT provide or give them any information, DO NOT download any programs or apps at their request, and disconnect the call even if they continue to keep the call going or use language like "now" or "immediately." If you would like assurance that Neighborhood Credit Union was indeed not trying to contact you in regards to your accounts, use a fresh phone call to physically dial 214-748-9393 or 800-321-3728.
