Video Captions: Once you’re a member at Neighborhood Credit Union, opening additional accounts can be done in a breeze using Online Banking.

After signing in, you will see the Online Banking home page and a menu bar across the top of your screen. Locate “Additional Services”, and a drop-down menu will appear.

In the drop-down menu, find “Open Account” and select. You’ll see a list of the available account types. Choose from a variety of checking accounts, certificate accounts, money market accounts, and lastly, savings accounts.

Select the account you would like to open; a window will appear that gives you an account description and additional features.

Select “yes or no” to utilize our Overdraft protection service, and “opt-in or opt-out" of courtesy pay. You can add or remove these options at any time during the life of the account.

Then select “add account,” and you will return to the menu where more accounts can be added, if needed. Once you have added your accounts, select “continue” at the bottom of the screen.

Fill out the rest of the application.... and at the end, you will have the opportunity to add any beneficiary or a joint to the account. These also can be updated at any time.

When you have finished, select “continue” at the bottom of the page.

Now it is time to fund your new account. You’ll see the required amount needed to open the account, and type in the desired amount you would like to deposit. You must then select how you want to fund your account. Choose to either use a debit or credit card, transfer from another financial institution, mail in a check, or initiate an internal transfer from another Neighborhood Credit Union account.

In this video, we’re funding with an internal transfer.

Select “done.” Once you have set up how to fund your new account, select “continue”.

On the review page, check your information to make sure everything is correct.

At the end you will be asked to Read, Sign, and Submit. Read Neighborhood Credit Union’s Electronic Records and Disclosure Agreement, and check the box signifying that you agree.

Select “I agree,” and your application is now submitted!

A Neighborhood Credit Union Online Account representative will contact you by phone, text, or email - typically within one business day - for further instructions..
