Description
Primarily responsible and accountable for assisting in the management of the organization’s private networking, unified communications, server infrastructure, workstation infrastructure, and cloud presence ensuring performance and availability of critical business services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Assumes responsibility for the effective and timely performance of assigned functions.
- Monitors, maintains, and administrates critical business services for the credit union by ensuring the performance and availability.
- Assists the creation and maintenance of policies, procedures, and standards that will govern the network maintenance operations and applicable organization business units.
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional business relations with customers, other financial institutions, and merchants.
- Ensures performance and availability measurements of the networking and server infrastructure (virtualized or physical) by establishing a network performance monitoring system that will automatically notify and submit Information Technology System Management (ITSM) trouble tickets for resolution in accordance with the applicable scenario’s procedures. The notifications should automatically submit a trouble ticket to the third-party network service provider whenever possible.
- Ensures timely adherence to a maintenance schedule for all applicable security patches, application updates, and recurring processes and procedures. Maintain a baseline of such schedules to trend and proactively address potential issues.
- Ensures hardware and software development life cycle management to assist in deployment and decommissioning of networking equipment, server builds, and workstation imaging. These processes should also denote appropriate steps to protect applicable digital resources.
- Presents ideas, leads discussions, and generally collaborates with vendors and relative NCU staff to produce innovative solutions and facilitate inter-departmental interaction.
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and working relations with Company personnel and with management.
- Provides support to credit union employees through the ITSM. Support should be delivered in accordance to published Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as defined by Information Technology management. A helpdesk call-center will be manned during published hours, with off-hours support assigned on a rotating basis. Correspondence with credit union employees should be handled in a professional and tactful manner. ITSM tickets should be handled in a timely and accurate manner. This may from time-to-time require cooperation with third-party vendors.
- Gathers and analyzes changing business systems and user requirements, explores technologies that complement and add value to develop effective and feasible ways to satisfy requirements.
- Subject Matter Expert in the aspects of how to utilize credit union technology business services emphasizing data categorization, safeguarding data, and cyber security awareness.
- Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
- Immediately and readily available on-premises at any time 24x7x365 to manage the prompt resumption of applicable business services during disaster recovery scenarios.
- Continually keeps abreast of new technologies to determine if they would improve and enhance the ability to deliver business services to the credit union.

- Education/Certification
- Bachelor's degree (preferred, but not required) from an accredited college or university.
- Equivalent combination of education and knowledge gained within a business environment consisting of 5-8 years’ experience in IT networking and administration, with increasing responsibilities for management and support of IT systems design and development process, including business process requirements analysis, feasibility studies, pilot testing, installation, evaluation, and operational management.
- Required Knowledge
- Implementation and enterprise support experience with the following current technologies:
- Microsoft Windows workstation in a single forest/domain Active Directory environment on-premises in a hybrid configuration.
- Microsoft Endpoint Manager managing Windows workstation and servers, Apple IOS and Android devices.
- Adobe Creative Cloud and Acrobat applications.
- Enterprise network backup, help desk, deployment management, remote administration tools.
- Enterprise VoIP communications system.
- Enterprise messaging systems with presence management.
- Microsoft Windows Server single forest/domain Active Directory environment on-premises in a hybrid configuration.
- Internet access fundamentals, SDWAN technologies - Knowledge of TCP/IP v4, network subnetting, DHCP, DNS, VLANs in a SASE environment.
- Microsoft 365 tenant management in a hybrid configuration with Azure Active Directory.
- Microsoft Exchange 365 management in a hybrid configuration with on-premises Exchange 2019 server.
- Enterprise network management and performance tools, such as: IPS/IDS, anti-malware, URL content filtering systems in a SASE environment.
- Enterprise network management switches, routers, VPN/adaptive security appliances
- Microsoft SQL Server administration and Structured Query Language expertise.
- Scripting/Automation/Workflow expertise.
- Out-of-band management solutions.
- Implementation and enterprise support experience with the following current technologies:
- Experience Required
- 5-8 years
- Experience within a mission critical IT environment involving development, implementation, testing, and execution of a disaster recovery, business continuity planning; including phone systems, data center operations such as installation, maintenance, and use of software and hardware support tools for replication, data backups, task scheduling, performance tuning and security considerations necessary to maintain enterprise environment.

- Able to work with a cross-functional team, in large diverse groups to handle cross functional initiatives, and bridging the gap between the business/operations and technology.
