What Does Neighborhood Credit Union Do With Your Personal Information?

What We Do
How does Neighborhood Credit Union protect my information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide you services.
How does Neighborhood Credit Union collect my information? We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • Apply for a loan or provide account information
  • Give us your income information

What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else? The joint account holder's information will be limited as well.

California Consumer Protection Act: Our California residents have the right to restrict the sharing of personal and financial information with our affiliates and outside companies that we do business with. We will limit sharing to information necessary for us to follow the law, as permitted by law, or to give you the best service on your accounts with us. Accounts with a California mailing address are automatically treated as if they have limited the sharing with affiliates and non-affiliates for marketing purposes. Telephone Communications: All telephone communications with us or our authorized agents may be monitored or recorded.


Online Privacy Policy

This Online privacy policy governs the manner in which Neighborhood Credit Union collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a "User") of the https://www.myncu.com website ("Site") or MyNCU Mobile application (“Site”), collectively referred to as "Site". This online privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered through the Site by Neighborhood Credit Union.


PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our Site, register on the Site, subscribe to the newsletter, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and social security number. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.


NON-PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS

We use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of our website. This tool uses persistent cookies to allow us to see behavior information and we may also use this data to create remarketing lists. MyNCU MOBILE APPLICATION

We offer a mobile application that provides the ability to access some of our products and services. When you use the MyNCU mobile app, we may collect information such as unique device identifiers, screen resolution and other settings, information about your location (with your permission), and more. Our mobile app permissions include: Camera, Contacts, Location, Phone, and Storage. These permissions can be modified by the user at any time by accessing the devices app permissions administration screen.

MyNCU Mobile App collects user’s location data even when the app is closed or not in use for the purposes of location-based promotional offers, to provide personalized branch experiences, and to support advertising.


HOW WE USE COLLECTED INFORMATION

Neighborhood Credit Union may collect and use Users personal information for the following purposes:

Information you provide helps us respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.

We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our Users as a group use the services and resources provided on our Site.
