An Update on Choice Checking
At Neighborhood Credit Union our mission is to continually build successful financial relationships with our community. We are continuously evaluating and developing our products to ensure that we’re providing the best value for you.
With this in mind, effective April 1, 2020, we will discontinue our real-time identity protection service and Merchant Rewards on Choice Checking.
Here are the new and exciting benefits available for our Choice Checking members.
- Overdraft Fee Forgiveness* gives members up to $40 in fee refunds annually upon request. Life happens, and we’re here to help with the unexpected.
- Get Cash Back Rewards will provide you with the opportunity to activate special offers in Online Banking and the MyNCU Mobile App, and earn cash at select retailers when you use your Neighborhood CU debit card.
- No-Surcharge Network gives you the comfort of avoiding ATM surcharge fees with 55,000 nationwide ATMs within the Allpoint Network.
- No minimum balance required.
You can continue to easily reduce or eliminate the $11.99 monthly fee by enrolling in eStatements, opting out of paper statements, and making signature-based debit card purchases that post and settle within the qualification cycle (purchase must be $5 or more; ATM and PIN-based transactions excluded).

*Overdraft Fee Forgiveness applies only to fees charged for overdraft and Courtesy Pay and is granted upon request on an annual basis. Any amounts for Relationship Fee Refunds received in 2020 will count toward the annual limit of $40.
