Neighborhood CU Foundations First Annual Meeting
Published May 6, 2021
On Thursday, April 22, 2021, Neighborhood CU Foundation held its first annual meeting since launching in 2020.
Since December 2020, the foundation has welcomed over 200 members and raised over $1,000. Joining the foundation provides access to financial products and services to continue their financial wellness journey.
Neighborhood Credit Union Foundation has partnered with other organizations to offer convenient and free financial education resources. The foundation's partnership with GreenPath Financial Wellness provides members with the ability to collaborate with a virtual financial coach. Members can chat in real-time with a financial expert from the comfort of wherever they are and with a level of anonymity that consumers may prefer when discussing sensitive financial matters.
“We are so excited about the 200 members we’ve welcomed since launching in 2020, and these members come from all across the state of Texas,” says Jessie Swendig, president of the foundation. “We can’t wait to see what kind of impact we will have by providing convenient financial education for all.”
Attending the meeting were about two dozen Neighborhood Credit Union Foundation members.
