2021 is already off to a pretty wild start here in Dallas! I hope you and your family stayed safe during the winter storm and didn’t experience extensive damage to your home or vehicles. If you need financial assistance due to the storm, please know we are here to help you.
I announced earlier this month that we opened our branch lobbies by appointment only. In light of the changes to the state-mandated COVID-19 protocols Governor Abbott announced last week, I would like to give you a little more insight about our expectations for the next few months.
We will still require employees and members to wears masks in our branches. As I’ve said all along, our employees’ safety is our number one priority, and we will continue following CDC guidelines and recommended safety measures inside our branches and offices. If you prefer to not wear a mask, we are happy to serve your financial needs in the drive-thru, from your mobile app, or over the phone. We appreciate your cooperation with this policy.
We will continue taking appointments for branch lobby visits to open a new account, meet with our North Texas Capital Advisors team, access your secure deposit box, or visit a notary only. All regular transactions will continue to be served in our drive-thrus or via our mobile app and remote services.
We anticipate that we will open our branch lobbies to a higher capacity in the coming months. Over the course of the past year, we have experienced normal employee turnover. We were fortunate to not have had to lay off or furlough any employees throughout the pandemic, however, our normal turnover and drive-thru service allowed us to operate with a leaner team in the branches. As we prepare to open our lobbies to more members, we are currently hiring and training new people to serve you better. We ask our members for patience and understanding as we continue with limited branch services (by appointment only) and prepare to operate in our new environment.
I truly appreciate your membership and the opportunity to serve your financial needs. This past year has been one for the history books and I am grateful for your continued loyalty through all the necessary changes.
