Equifax Data Breach

Equifax recently reported that a data breach occurred between May and July possibly compromising personal information of as many as 143 million people.

We take our members’ security very seriously and have daily procedures to verify your identity and personal information currently in place.

Neighborhood CU does report to all 3 credit bureaus, including Equifax, so your information could be at risk. In addition to checking with Equifax, there are other steps you can take to help protect your information.

  • Order your free annual credit report and review it for fraudulent activity.
  • If you see any unauthorized activity on your credit report, debit or credit cards, report it to us or your credit card company immediately.
  • Place fraud alerts on your credit reports.
