Dallas Credit Union Merger Guide


We’re creating an exceptional credit union for you and putting together the pieces for a Membership Upgrade to integrate operations. This upgrade will transition your Dallas Credit Union membership to the Neighborhood Credit Union system. Once complete, you will experience full service at all 14 branches, as well as all of the great products, services & benefits of Neighborhood CU membership.

Important Dates and Times

  • Member Service Call Center Hours: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. CST on February 2nd
  • Shared Branching will be unavailable beginning January 31st.
  • Dallas CU Online Banking, Telephone Teller and the Mobile Money App will be unavailable beginning January 31st.
  • All Dallas CU branches will be closed February 1st and February 2nd.

Neighborhood CU Debit Card

You may have received your new debit card already, if not, you can expect it within five business day and you will be able to set your PIN when you call to activate your card. PIN numbers will not be mailed out as previously stated. If you have not, please contact our Member Service Center at 214.748.9393. Please continue to use your Dallas CU debit card until January 31st at 2:30 p.m. CST, as your Neighborhood CU debit card will not work (even if activated) until after that time due to the Membership Upgrade period.

Upon receipt of your new Neighborhood CU debit card(s), please notify any merchants or vendors in which you have automatic payments set up with your Dallas CU debit card. Promptly updating your payment card information will ensure no disruption in your recurring payments.

Online Services

Beginning Saturday, February 2nd you will be able to access your new Neighborhood CU accounts. At this time you will sign up as a new user on Neighborhood CU’s Online Banking at the top left corner of myncu.com.

For first-time users, your username is your account number and your temporary password is the last 4 digits of the primary member’s SSN. You will then be prompted to change your password. To learn more about Online Banking please visit Online Services.

Account balances will not be up-to-date to reflect February transaction activity until February 4th. All Dallas CU Online Banking automatic payments will need to be setup in Neighborhood CU’s Online Banking. Visit the FAQs for details.

January 2018 – January 2019 transaction and account history is only available to view on your statement. To enroll in eStatements, log into Online Banking and click on the eStatements tab at the top. Update your settings to receive eStatements, click the box to decline future paper statements and save your changes.

Direct Deposits and ACH Payments

Following the Membership Upgrade ending on February 4th you will need to contact your employer or any others that currently withdraw or deposit funds into your account and provide them with Neighborhood CU’s routing number: 311079270.

Loan Payments

After the Membership Upgrade ends on February 4th your loan payments should be made to Neighborhood CU. In order to pay your loan remotely after the Membership Upgrade we’ve provided several loan payment options available to you. Please contact our Member Service Center at 214.748.9393 for more information.

If you pay your Dallas CU loan using coupons please continue to use your current coupons until the Membership Upgrade ends on February 4th. After that time, coupons will be available upon request by calling the Neighborhood CU Service Department at 214.748.9393 ext. 2609.

All Dallas CU Members with mortgage loans can make online payments through our eStatus portal. Please see our letter regarding Dallas CU’s Home Equity or Improvement loans for more information.

Business Accounts

As a Neighborhood CU business account holder you will now earn interest on your Business Savings and enjoy a truly free Business Checking with no minimum balance requirement or monthly maintenance fees. Our Business Checking account also comes with a free debit card, access to our award-winning Mobile App and Online Banking at myncu.com, and much more.

All other Dallas CU business accounts will come to Neighborhood CU as normal consumer accounts.

Dallas CU Credit Cards

You may continue using your Dallas CU Credit Card and making payments per your regular monthly statement. Neighborhood CU will be automatically switching your credit card over to a Neighborhood CU VISA Credit Card after your Membership Upgrade.

Please continue to use your Dallas CU credit card until February 14th, as your Neighborhood CU credit card will not work (even if activated) until after that date. You can begin to expect your new Neighborhood CU credit card beginning the week of February 4th.

To make a payment on your Dallas CU credit card from February 2nd – 13th please visit our Dallas CU Credit Card portal or stop by one of our local branches. After February 14th you will be able to pay your new Neighborhood CU credit card as a member through your Online Banking.
