The American Consumer Council

The American Consumer Council (ACC) is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to consumer education, advocacy, and financial literacy. There is no cost for Neighborhood Credit Union members to join the ACC.

If you choose to join the ACC through Neighborhood Credit Union, we will provide the following enrollment information to the ACC on your behalf: your name, address, email address, and telephone number.

 

How to join the ACC when applying for Neighborhood Credit Union membership online:

  • Choose the “I want to join the American Consumer Council” option in the Eligibility section of the application. This will send us a notification that will allow us to process and enroll you into the ACC.
  • The $5 membership fee will be covered by Neighborhood Credit Union.

 

How to join the ACC when applying for membership in a branch:

  • You can also join by visiting your closest branch and a Personal Finance Officer will be more than happy to go over ACC membership with you.

 

Your participation in the ACC is strictly voluntary. You will have the option to unsubscribe or opt-out of the quarterly email newsletter at any time.
