**The RPFO, if not already licensed, will be required to obtain the Series 6 and 63 licenses and Group 1 Life and Health Insurance license within a designated time frame in order to continue employment in this position.**
As a registered representative, is fully trained and certified to sell mutual funds and annuity products to members on behalf of Neighborhood Financial Services. Also, responsible for presenting and explaining credit union products and services to members and assisting them to utilize Neighborhood Credit Union's products and services. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with prospective and current members and to represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
>> Interviews members to obtain information and explain available financial services, such as savings and checking accounts, IRA's, CD's, club accounts, safe deposit boxes, electronic delivery systems, rates, etc.
>> Responds to member inquiry and processes a variety of transactions for members regarding the operation of accounts, access to services, opening and closing of accounts, adding or deleting service features, account discrepancies, and assisting members to make the most effective usage of service offerings.
Responsible for presenting loan closing documents to members for signing.
>> Actively promotes loans to member in accordance with the credit unions solicitation program, including letters, telephone solicitation, mailing of brochures and other prescribed activity to solicit business from former and prospective borrowers.
Responds to routine member inquiry regarding loan products, services and requirements.
As a registered representative, conducts the sales and administrative processes related to providing selected mutual funds and annuities to the members.
>> Remains abreast of all the products and services offered by Neighborhood Credit Union and is capable of explaining the benefits and features of both Neighborhood Credit Union products and Neighborhood Financial Services offerings and assisting members to make well-reasoned decisions about the management of their financial affairs
>> Operates computer terminal to accurately open accounts, access account information and update account information, process loans and update member account information.
>> Assists with ordering cash, supplying cash as needed, and removing cash to vault to reduce drawer limits when appropriate and assists in balancing vault daily.
>> Actively markets and cross-sells current and new products and services of the credit union and educates members on the features and benefits of new, as well as, existing services.
>> Follows all policies and procedures regulated by the credit union as well as governmental policies and procedures.
>> Performs such other duties as might be assigned from time to time, including but not limited to, processing mail, opening/closing branch office, assisting on the teller line and assisting other departments as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Two to four years previous related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
NASD Series 6 and Series 63 certification, preferred
Group 1 Life and Health Insurance License, preferred
>> Familiar with the differences in products and services offered by other financial institutions to those offered by Neighborhood Credit Union and able to explain those differences to members
Ability to read, analyze and interpret instructions, procedures and regulations
>> Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to members and other employees of the organization
>> Ability to operate a personal computer including input, output and inquiry functions essential to access member accounts and process transactions as well as other account maintenance functions required
Ability to operate standard office equipment
Salary: $29,000- $35,000 Based on Experience and licenses held
