PERSONAL FINANCIAL OFFICER
 
Neighborhood Credit Union is in search of a person with strong communication skills who will be responsible for presenting and explaining credit union products and services to members and assisting them to utilize Neighborhood Credit Union's products and services. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with prospective and current members and to represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
o    Interviews members to obtain information and explain available financial services, such as savings and checking accounts, IRA's, CD's, club accounts, safe deposit boxes, electronic delivery systems, rates, etc.
o    Responds to member inquiry and processes a variety of transactions for members regarding the operation of accounts, access to services, opening and closing of accounts, adding or deleting service features, account discrepancies, and assisting members to make the most effective usage of service offerings.
o    Responsible for presenting loan closing documents to members for signing.
o    Actively promotes loans to member in accordance with the credit unions solicitation program, including letters, telephone solicitation, mailing of brochures and other prescribed activity to solicit business from former and prospective borrowers. Responds to routine member inquiry regarding loan products, services and requirements.
o    Operates computer terminal to accurately open accounts, access account information and update account information, process loans and update member account information.
o    Actively markets and cross-sells current and new products and services of the credit union and educates members on the benefits and features of new, as well as, existing services.
o    Required to meet monthly sales goals set by the credit union and branch manager.
o    Follows all policies and procedure regulated by the credit union as well as governmental policies and procedures.
o    Performs various other member service functions that might be needed from time to time, and assists others to complete tasks and work assignments.
 
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
o    Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four year college or university; or, Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation; plus one to two years related experience in the financial industry
o    One to two years previous related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
o    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
o    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, percentages, ratios and basic algebraic expressions
o    Ability to read, analyze and interpret instructions, procedures and regulations
o    Ability to write reports and business correspondence
o    One to two years PC experience including mainframe, word processing and spreadsheet applications
o    Ability to operate standard office equipment, including 10-key by touch, facsimile machine, photocopier, etc.
 
Salary: $30,000- $34,000 annually
            Based on Experience
